My best friend moved to Los Angelas about 6 months ago and he came home to visit this past weekend. To put it bluntly, he put on a few pounds. In fact, HE GOT FAT. Now this is my best friend and I don’t want to hurt his feelings, but come on…. My problem is, I have no idea how to tell him. Should I even bring it up at all? As we get closer to the 98PXY Summer Jam, The overall anxiety of not getting and invite can be tramatizing. Don’t let it get the best of you. If your having a hard time being the 8th caller to win your 4 pack I have some advice for you. BEG!! But don’t be Annoying! Dj’s here at 98PXY do have hearts and want to be able to hook up as many listeners as possible. To wean out the not so passionate beggers, I have created 3 simple rules to follow when begging for Summer Jam invites…..

RULE # 3 : Have A Sob Story,… a REAL one. We as DJ’s are a custom to fakers and liars and can tell when someone is making up a story (we do it all the time : ). But a good sob story will always get the DJ listening and depending on the mood set, will also get you a 4 pack of invites to the biggest party of the year.

 RULE # 2 : Be Specific About Why You Want The Invites. Anyone can call up and say ”Please Please Please can I have some invites, All I want to do this summer is go to the Jam”. But if you REALLY want to go to the Jam, your probobly a HUGE fan of one of the amazing artists that are going to be performing. Show passion and be specific about why you want to go. For example ” I have been a fan of Tyga ever since he first started rapping, I saw him perform with the Gym Class Heroes when they were in Rochester, He is my favorite artist of all time!!”. That right there might be all you need to snag your 4 pack of invites : )

RULE # 1 : The most important rule. STROKE MY EGO!. I know when I’m on the air and I have someone call in and tell me how hot and sexy I am, or How I am the best DJ that they have ever heard, and they are going to name there kids after me, ….That would put a smile on anyones face, and might even land you some invites to the 98PXY Summer Jam!

 Obide by these 3 Rules and you’ll have a better chance of getting some invites to the biggest party Rochester has ever seen!!!!

I had the weekend off here at 98PXY, and with the Park Ave Fest going on,…. You No I Had To Hit It Up! I haven’t really been to a “House” party in some time and on Saturday I knew of a couple that were goin on do to the park ave festivities (Thayer St, Rutgers St, Berkley…) . My how Park Ave Parties have NOT changed at all since the last time I chose to infiltrate. Beer pong, Flip cup, Grilling, and more Beer pong. Jesus! can’t you people come up with any other ways to party?! “Come over man, we got 4 kegs” or “Come on dude, Beer pong tourney at 3:30″, I answered my phone Saturday and thats all I heard. The entire Park ave area smelled like the floor at Mark’s Texas Hots at 2:30am on a Saturday night.

Am I getting to old for this stuff or what? Because it’s just not doing it for me anymore…
