“Ebonics” is no longer foreign
Wednesday, June 18th, 2008Nowadays I would have to say 50% of every conversation a givin person has is spoken in ebonics, wouldn’t you agree? Maybe not to the extent of a Hip-Hop song but you get what im sayin.
The other day I said to my girlfriend, “I really need to start makin more chedder” . She looked at me with the goofiest face and had absolutly no clue what I was talking about. I would think any normal person would know that that phrase means “I need to start making more money” correct? (CHEDDER = MONEY)
Tonight on the my show we will break down some of todays most used “Ebonic” phrases, and see if your smart enough to know what they mean. Until than, enjoy bill maher translating some hip for ya : )
